If the weather is inclement, this will usually not impact your charter. Makoro has multiple undercover spaces for you to enjoy and the crew will adjust your itinerary to suit the prevailing weather conditions.

In the case of a severe weather warning, the captain at his sole discretion may decide to postpone or cancel the charter for safety. In this situation we will discuss the options with you to reschedule, or if suitable dates are not available then we will contact you regarding a refund. This is covered in detail in the charter terms and conditions.

Smoking including e-cigarettes and vaping are not permitted anywhere on board the vessel at any time. If you will require the opportunity to smoke, please advise the crew so a suitable shore side stop can be arranged to accommodate this.

The spa is available for use on liveaboard charters only. As the spa takes time to fill and heat, if you would like to utilise this, please advise us in advance so that we can create a suitable itinerary to include spa use. This question will be covered in your pre-arrival paperwork.

We can cater to most dietary requirements if we receive advanced notice. This will be included in your pre-arrival paperwork. It is important to note that food prepared onboard is prepared in the kitchen that has handled nuts, shellfish, gluten, eggs, soy and other allergens. Anyone with anaphylaxis is advised to carry appropriate medication as a precaution.  

For day charters utilising external catering suppliers, please discuss your dietary requirements with your chosen caterer and ensure you advise the crew as well to avoid any issues.

APA stands for Advance Provisioning Allowance and is the additional fee to cover the catering, beverages and fuel for your charter. APA is usually set at 30% of the base charter rate, depending on your needs. If the full fee is not required to cover the food, beverage and fuel expenses the remaining APA is returned to you at the charter completion.
